Les Corbières Autumn Colours

Durban Les Corbières Autumn Colours
Autumn colours surround the village of Durban des Corbiéres in the Languedoc-Roussillon area of France. Les Corbières region is a wild rocky landscape bordered to the south by the Pyrénées and the frontier with Spain. Quiet roads and the beautiful Cathar castles (French: Châteaux Cathares) and vineyards and as autumn gradually spreads though the region and the leaves on the vines change to gold red and brown it is such a pleasure to drive the country roads and enjoy the warm sunshine and the golden colours.

The Last of the Grapes
The last few small bunches of grapes that were left behind after the harvest are another delight to find, always tasty and sweet.

Autumn Colours on the Vine
Where do I point my camera next? There are so many photo opportunities and autumn is always a favourite time as photographers snap away trying to captures natures rich palette.

Chateau d'Arques. Les Corbières.
Because the first frosts of winter are a long time in coming it seems as if the changing autumn colours last forever, but of course they don’t and we are now already moving towards the colder temperatures of winter and it is time for me to post these images.
